This just in from the Long Island Film Festival:
Perspective Studios to Host Film Festival
NEW YORK--Long Island Film Festival's next stop for the current
season's 26th touring edition is the City of Glen Cove this weekend.
Perspective Studios, a leading industry innovator in motion capture and
animation production, will host the film festival Friday and Saturday at
their newly renovated studio located at 70 Glen Street, inside the Pistilli
Metro Center building.
"The action packed weekend has much to offer those who plan to be
entertained and enlightened", says Festival director Francis J. Leik, a
media-maker, writer and actor. "Most of what we program is culled from
both professional and student story-tellers throughout the greater Long Island
region, though we will be screening two new films from Ireland on Saturday
afternoon that are in the Irish language, with English sub-titles".
Friday's afternoon schedule at Perspective Studios starts at 3:45pm
with a block of family friendly short films, that includes the Long Island
premiere of Indian-American filmmaker Mayur Deshmukh's comedy
"Hurry Om", followed by a feature documentary titled "The Human Experience"
at 5:00pm. Directed by Brooklyn resident Charles Kinnane, and a winner of
the Best Humanitarian Film award at the Sedona Int'l Film Festival, this dramatic
and captivating film is a timeless story. A band of brothers search for the
meaning of life by embarking on a breathtaking adventure around the world,
and discover their answer in the experience.Tickets are $12 per film block program, and can be purchased starting one hour before
the start of each program presentation at Perspective Studios. Advanced tickets for any
